The Best Sheppard's Pie Recipe

Growing up, Sheppard's Pie was on the top of the list of meals my mom would make us. Even when you asked my Uncle, he will tell you this is his favorite meal. To say we get this recipe from my mom's side is an understatement. When I met my husband, he ALSO had a love of the delish casserole, only guess what his favorite ingredient is? A can of vegetable soup.... who would of thought it would make it taste soo good. Here is a slight variation to my moms recipe growing up. Prep Time: 20 minutes Cooking Time: 35 minutes

Total Time: 55 minutes

Ingredients: Mashed Potatoes: - Potatoes (5-6 large)

- Butter (1/4 cup) - Milk (1/4 cup) - Onion Salk

- Pepper

- Garlic (optional - I'm just garlic obsessed) Ground Beef Mixture: - Lean ground beef (1lb) - Corn (1/4 cup) - Peas (1/4 cup) - Garlic (3 cloves, diced finely) - Italian Seasoning (1/2 Tbsp) - Salt and Pepper (to taste) - Vegetable Soup (1 can) Optional: Parmesan Cheese if you like the top crispy. Directions: 1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees. 2. In a large pot, add water and bring to a boil. In the meantime peel and roughly chop potaotes (the smaller the pieces, the faster it will cook). Add to boiling water and cook for 15-20 minutes or until soft when poking with a fork. 3. In a medium frying pan, add ground beef and onions. Cook. Drain fat and put ground beef back into the frying pan. Add all other ingredients to the ground beef mixture and cook for another 5 minutes. 4. In a medium casserole dish, add the cooked ground beef mixture, then carefully add the mashed potatoes. Trying to dump most of the mashed potatoe mixture on top of the ground beef and spread (trying not to pick up).

Bon Appetite.
