Creamy Bacon Cajun Pasta

30 minute meals are my favorite kind of dinners. Add a blast of flavor to it, and BOOM, it gets thrown into rotation. This bacon-y, cream-y, Canun-y, yumminess will have you wishing you doubled the recipe (highly recommend). Should I make this on my next live cooking show?

Ingredients:

- Bacon (4 slices, chopped)

- Onions (1/2 cup)

- Chicken Broth (1/2 cup)

- Cream Cheese (1/4 cup)

- Heavy Cream (1/4 cup)

- Italian Seasoning (1/2 Tbsp)

- Cajun Seasoning (2 Tbsp)

- Garlic (3 cloves, minced)

- Parsley (dried, to garnish)

- Fettuccine noodles (3 cups cooked)

Directions:

1. Chop bacon roughly. In a large frying pan fry bacon until crispy (approx 5 minutes). Remove from pan and drain excess grease (leaving a small amount for frying onions). Using the same pan, add onions and cook until translucent.

2. Add garlic, Italian seasoning, and Cajun seasoning and cook for 1 minute. Add chicken broth, cream cheese and heavy cream and cook on simmer for approximately 15 minutes. The sauce will thicken up nicely.

3. Cook fettuccine as directed on package. Once cooked, drain, and add to sauce. Toss well.

4. Garnish with bacon and parsley.

Bon Appetite.
