WHAT TYPE OF BREAD TO USE FOR BREAKAST BREAD BOAT
This breakfast boat is made out of a large French loaf. You can choose a smaller loaf, sourdough, really any type of bread you can hollow out, fill with scramble eggs, your favorite breakfast protein (we used sausage, but you can also use bacon) and topped with cheese. WHAT YOU WILL NEED
Pellet Grill or Oven (I used my Pit Boss Grills Savannah Onyx Edition)
Pellets (I used Pit Boss Grills, Cherry blend) Baking Sheet
Large Knife (Optional, I used Pit Boss Grills Brisket Knife)
INGREDIENTS French Loaf Eggs (6 large eggs) Breakfast Sausage (1/2 cup, chopped)
Marble Cheese (1/2 cup, shredded)
INSTRUCTIONS Preheat your pellet grill or oven to 400 degrees. Next prepare your breakfast bread boat by using a sharp knife to dictate the area you will pour the egg mixture in. Made sure you do not go all the way through your loaf of bread, or make it too large where the egg mixture will fall out. Remove the top portion (I used this to make bread crumbs or stuffing that evening) and press down to flatten with your hand.
Scramble your eggs in a pourable bowl. Have your sausage chopped and your cheese shredded. Pour the egg mixture into your breakfast bread boat. Next add your sausage and cheese. Place on a baking sheet and into your grill or oven. This will take approximately 35-45 minutes. Your egg will be fully cooked and your bread toasted. Put into 2" strips, serve immediately or freeze for a convenient back to school breakfast ideas.
