This broccoli cauliflower casserole is from my family's holiday table to yours. It is what is made by at least one family member for Christmas, Thanksgiving, and Easter. All major holidays have this BBQ side dish recipes. Why do we love it? It jazzes up a classic dish with a warm creamy centre and a crispy crunchie outside.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
1. A Smoker. I'm using my Louisiana Grills Founders Premier pellet grill.
2. Pellets. I used Pit Boss Grills Apple Pellets
INGREDIENTS
Broccoli (1 head, chopped)
Cauliflower (1 head, chopped)
Eggs (2 large)
Mayo (1/2 cup)
Onion (1 small, finely diced)
Cream of Mushroom Soup (1 can)
Marble Cheese (1 cup, divided)
Garlic (2 cloves, minced)
Italian Seasoning (1/2 Tbsp)
Seasoned Breadcrumbs (1/2 cup)
DIRECTIONS
Preheat your pellet grill to 400 degrees. I used my Louisiana grills Founders Premier. Using a grill-safe dish or cast iron, grease generously with butter or spray. Add your broccoli and cauliflower. Then in a medium-sized dish add all your creamy ingredients which are, eggs, mayo, onion, cream of mushroom soup, 1/4 cup marble cheese, garlic, and Italian seasoning. Mix thoroughly and pour over vegetables evenly. Next, sprinkle the remaining cheese on top of your casserole following your breadcrumbs.
Place directly on your grill grates for approximately 45 minutes or until crispy and bubbly. Enjoy this broccoli cauliflower casserole recipe with your family's favorite BBQ main.
