Fire-roasted veggies give them that perfect crisp outside, soft inside, with the amazing taste of fire. They are done on the higher and faster side, so if you prefer your vegetables slightly tender as I do, this is THE BEST way to do vegetables your whole family will enjoy.

Veggies done in pizza oven just need the proper tray. Gyber Outdoors provides just that for their Fremont Pizza Oven. With an easy cleanup tray with grate along with a convenient handle that releases as it does the cooking. It collects any of the drippings while doing fired roasted veggies.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

PIZZA OVEN (I used my Fremont Pizza Oven by Gyber Outdoors)

GRILL GRATE & TRAY (from Gyber Outdoors)

PELLETS (I used Apple pellets from Louisiana Grills)

FIRE ROASTED VEGGIES: What Type of Veggies To Use?

Veggies done in pizza oven can be such an arrangement. Cauliflower, Mushrooms, Root Vegetables, Squashes, the skies the limit. When choosing the right pizza oven veggies, you want to keep in mind that a pizza oven is a high heat machine. Any loose leaves or delicately cooked vegetables are not for this and will burn.

DIRECTIONS:

Place 3 scoops of pellets into your Fremont Pizza Oven tray. Light on fire and warm-up for 15 minutes. If you need more clarification on how to light your pizza oven CLICK HERE! OR preheat your BBQ or OVEN with your PIZZA STONE inside preheating with it.

HOW TO PREPARE YOUR FIRE ROASTED VEGGIES?

Regardless of the fire roasted veggies you choose to do, one thing is for sure, they need oil. This helps them cook and caramelize in the cooking process when veggies done in pizza oven. I love to toss all my veggies in OLIVE OIL, ITALIAN SEASONING, GARLIC POWDER, SALT AND PEPPER.

Place your tray of veggies in the preheated pizza oven and shut the door. Wait 2 minutes and rotate. Do this every 2 minutes until your fire roasted veggies are charred to your liking.
